Mujib Borsho Paragraph : On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh declared the year 2020-2021 as Mujib Year. Mujib year is being celebrated from 17th March 2020. The celebration ended on 31 March 2022. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on March 17, 1920 in Tungipara, Gopalganj. He received primary and secondary education in Gopalganj. Later he got admission in Calcutta Islamic College and obtained his degree.
In 1947, the Indian subcontinent was divided into two parts. One is India and the other is Pakistan. There our current Bangladesh is notice to as East Pakistan. Then our people of East Pakistan were being oppressed by the rulers of West Pakistan. Father of the nation Bangabandhu protested against it. On March 7, 1971, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave a historic speech to millions of people. encouraging the people of East Pakistan to fight for their liberation. This was the turning point in the people’s interest for ultimate freedom from the West Pakistani oppressors. After nine months of bloody fighting against the Pakistani military, Bangladesh achieved victory.

On August 15, 1975, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu was kill with his family. Which was a dark chapter in the history of Bangladesh. The Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh declared the 100th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as Mujib year. 100 renowned artists of Bangladesh performed the theme song of “Mujib Barsha” along with Bangabandhu’s youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana. He then recited the poem ‘Baba’ written by his elder sister Sheikh Hasina, The Honorable Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Along with us, UNESCO has also celebrated Mujib Borsho worldwide.
